Sex was God’s idea. He created sex and our desires for sexual connection. God also created women and entrusted them with a unique sexual power. This power has the potential to bring life, strength, and healing to others, but it also has the power to manipulate, control, and destroy. Our sinful desires for approval, control, affirmation, security and comfort twist and corrupt God’s good creation. Whether self-righteous or self-indulgent, we need to learn what it looks like to steward our sexuality in a way that honors God and serves others in love. This is not another self-help book about sex. You won’t find ten steps on how to fix your sex life or simple statements about why married women need to have sex and single women don’t. No matter your perspective or experience of sex, every woman needs hope and a vision of how sex and sexuality fits into God’s story of redemption.
