How can you “see the unseen”?

God calls us all to live a life of purpose—to live prepared to be on mission and go where He needs us, both locally and globally, but many of us don’t even want to get off the couch. DeAnna Sanders is an introvert who heard God’s call and followed Him to unknown places despite her fears and misgivings. And what she found there will open your eyes to the needs of the many and the hearts of the unseen.
Through life-shaping stories, DeAnna’s book Unseen People offers encouragement AND inspiration and prepares our hearts when it’s time to go. Sometimes the hard places He guides us to are next door, and sometimes, He calls us to help the oppressed in restricted nations. No matter where He leads, the call is the same—to see and serve people and to hear and share their stories. Their stories will shape you, change you, and challenge you to keep going. You will be different.
Let Unseen People stir your heart and call you to take action—to see, listen to God’s call for you, get prepared, and go.

“In the fascinating pages of Unseen People, you will get to journey with a true global ambassador of hope, DeAnna Sanders. I have had the privilege of seeing some of DeAnna’s love, warmth, humor, and hope shine in all kinds of places, for all kinds of people: from Oklahoma to Georgia to Indonesia. She doesn’t serve up a wistful kind of hope. Rather, she offers the kind that creates change in people across the street and around the world. Enjoy big helpings for yourself and watch the people you touch light up.”

“DeAnna takes us on a journey around the world and opens our eyes to see the unseen—people and places. As she shares her life story, she even challenges us to ask ourselves who we are, and how we would like to be seen and known. DeAnna’s heartwarming stories remind us that God is everywhere, and He is always working. And she provokes us to see the unseen people in our own lives through God’s eyes.”

DeAnna’s writing style has been described as easy, calming, gentle, unobtrusive, and Christ-like. Just like her. Yet, through her challenging words and inspiring stories, she gets to the point quickly about the need to help broken people wherever they are. She fills her weekly blog, A Good Word Wednesday, with bite-sized slices of life from her own experiences and from people she has met around the world. She has served her church as a Minister of Missions, worked in a global nonprofit as Indonesian Country Director and as Director of Communications. She has communication degrees from Ouachita Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
DeAnna lives in Duncan, Oklahoma, with her husband, Johnny, and their two Fox Red Labradors. She loves long walks and then relaxing on her deck, sipping flavorful coffee and savoring one of the several books she enjoys reading at the same time.
