Today, riders young and old flock to Shadow. While much mystery about his spots remain, when revealed; they are a reminder to us all that by God’s handiwork, we are each uniquely and beautifully made.
About
Maria Bostian grew up on a small, family farm in North Carolina with cows, chickens, a pony, and her grandpa’s big, old mule named Kate. Kate was too big to ride, and the pony was too stubborn. While visiting a friend in third grade, she was determined to ride her horse. She did for a while until she slid off its back and landed in a big mud puddle. That’s the day she realized she needed to love horses from a distance.
While she is no famous horse rider or jumper, she is a true believer in a Higher Power, Who reveals Himself in mysterious and wonderful ways.
Maria thanks Him for her many blessings, which include her wonderful husband, Jeff, her sweet family, and many fabulous friends and writing partners. Although she owns no horses, she has other rescue animals which provide love and entertainment daily and are often a source of inspiration for her writing projects.
